I.C. Pei (L) and Zeng Jinyan (R)

I.C. Pei, a Chinese American architect, finished the renovation of the historic Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong designed by his father I.M. Pei, Xinhuanet.com reported on Aug. 24.

Pei only renovated the interior of the tower, a historical building with 67 years of history, to recover its splendor without changing its appearance.

The renovation project started in June 2016 and the building will be used for Bank of China (Hong Kong) Private Banking, said Zeng Jinyan, general manager of Private Banking.

Three generations of the Pei family have contributed to the historical architecture, including I.C. Pei and his father and grandfather. I.M. Pei also advised the renovation project led by his son.
