My name is Li Bingxiu. I live in Village 8, Goujiao Township, Yuechi County, Sichuan Province. As a former Falun Gong addict, I’ll make it public that I was lured by the Falun Gong evil cult organization to Beijing 15 years ago to engage in illegal activities. The purpose of my disclosure is to reveal the truth I know about Falun Gong practitioners going to Beijing to “clarify the truth” in 1999, expose the lies told by the Falun Gong evil cult organization so that more people will know what had happened at that time.
Cajoling: You’d become an “elite” Falun Gong member if you went to Beijing to "clarify the truth"
In early November 1999, a fellow practitioner suddenly brought me messages one after another from the Falun Gong evil cult organization saying that I would soon become an elite Falun Gong member, which made me quite confused. They claimed that as I possessed strong power of understanding, practiced Falun Gong hard, and had a deep affinity with “Master” in my previous life, I was selected by the Falun Gong leadership as the only regional representative to go to Beijing to "rectify the Fa" and “clarify the truth”. They also said that to "clarify the truth" in Beijing was a legal act of learning the Fa at the highest level. Besides, they repeatedly stated that the representatives who were allowed to go to Beijing were the most trusted disciples whom "Master" had found through his supernormal capabilities. Through close contact with "Master", they said, those representatives could quickly improve their temperament and potency. What’s more, according to them, the aura in Beijing was the best in the country, so the effect would be better. I walked on air after hearing what they said. Initially, I felt that as long as I went to Beijing to "clarify the truth", I would soon be well-known among my fellow practitioners in our local area, even in Sichuan, and become one of the few outstanding "Dafa disciples". It seemed as if I was suddenly enveloped by the halo of Falun Gong elite. My mind was full of the feeling of being selected by "Master" himself, which made me very eager to go to Beijing. The temptation was too great for me!
At that time, I didn't know that Falun Gong had been declared an evil cult by the state because I was a rural old woman with little education and paid little attention to the major policies of the state. That fellow practitioner also told me to leave for Beijing in secret, saying it wasn’t good to be conspicuous because "Master" expected us to keep a low profile. If you were too conspicuous, he said, there would something wrong with your temperament, which would be noticed by “Master” at any time. It seemed that what the fellow practitioner said all met the requirements of practicing Falun Gong at the time. But since I had never been away from home, I was a little hesitant to go to Beijing. To encourage me to go, that fellow practitioner asked a senior Falun Gong practitioner in Chengdu to serve as my guide. He told me that there was nothing for me to worry about as someone would tell me how to carry out the activities after I arrived in Beijing. Before I left home, the fellow practitioner repeatedly reminded me not to inquire about the name of the receptionist or tell anyone what I was doing, or else there would be the so-called “Louqi (air leakage)” or something like that. According to the requirements of “Master”, we should keep "selflessness, invisibleness, animitta, and anatta" in doing everything, and the information about "ordinary people" was of little use to us as practitioners.
Soon, I brought with me more than 500 yuan, the only money I had, left my 80-year-old mother at home and went to Beijing with the Falun Gong practitioner from Chengdu who would serve as my guide.
Coercing: Your ID card would be withheld if you didn’t participate in the activities.
When we arrived in Beijing on November 15, we were picked up by a person previously arranged by the Falun Gong organization. Seeing the small Falun Gong badge I wore, the person immediately sent me to a practicing site in the suburb of Beijing. There were dozens of Falun Gong practitioners from all over the country gathering there on that day, all of them looking both apathetic and pleasantly surprised. I felt it was really weird when I think back to now.
Shortly afterward, a Falun Gong member who claimed to be a “journalist”, handed out to each of us a registration form for us to fill out, and tried to persuade us to take part in the activities of “clarifying the truth” and “rectifying the Fa”. Then, everyone was very active to fill out the forms and submit ID cards. However, when we were filling out the form, someone expressed concern that the “journalist” might be a fake, then we all took back our ID cards immediately and refused to go on to fill out the form. The "journalist" was very angry and embarrassed by this. At that time, I thought that I had come all the way here to "clarify the truth", "rectify the Fa", "ascend to high levels", and "improve potency", and I naively believed that I would soon achieve “consummation" and become a "Buddha", "Tao" or "God", so what did I need ID documents for? Therefore, I was the first one to fill out and submit the form, and then an elderly Falun Gong practitioner from northeast China followed my suit.
In the late afternoon, the “journalist” returned and furtively sent the two of us who had submitted the registration forms to another practicing site, where there were more than 30 Falun Gong practitioners discussing how to conduct the activities. In the end, the organizers, after consulting with us, decided that we should carry out the activities around the Monument to the People's Heroes on Tiananmen Square, with Falun Gong banners displayed in all directions. Meanwhile, the organizers made a special statement that our ID cards and forms would not be returned to us for the time being. Only after a long time had passed did we realize that it was an elaborate arrangement by the Falun Gong senior leaders and also an extremely important move for them to control our actions. If we didn't obey them, our certificates would be withheld, so we were forced to participate in illegal activities on the spot.
Bribing: I was lured by petty favors to attend the “Fa conference” in Guangzhou
On the evening of November 15, the self-assumed “journalist’, seeing that I was very active, specially asked me to contact him the next day after I had finished my job of displaying Falun Gong banners on Tiananmen Square. He told me that he had already bought a ticket for me to attend the “Fa conference” in Guangzhou. Of course, I didn't have to pay for the ticket. Besides, I could also get some subsidies, which could solve my financial and other problems. The most important thing was that I could go to a higher level!" Thinking of all the “benefits”, I felt a burst of joy. As I couldn’t keep in mind the phone number of the “journalist”, he simply wrote it on my wrist, repeatedly saying that someone would come to pick me up immediately as long as I called him. Furthermore, he told me not to worry or share his phone number with anyone else. The next day, when we carried out our activities by displaying Falun Gong banners on Tiananmen Square, we were stopped by people at the scene and turned over to police. At that time, I thought that our activities were legal and that it was wrong for the “ordinary people” to interfere with us.
Later, with the help of anti-evil-cult volunteers and some kind-hearted people in the society, I came to realize that Falun Gong was an evil, deceitful cult. As the leader of the evil cult, Li Hongzhi had been deceiving us under the guise of “truthfulness, compassion and forbearance", "being a good person", and “achieving consummation”. He made use of his disciples as tools to secure his own evil ends. Today, I am glad that I have broken away from Falun Gong and returned to my former self! Now I have finally understood that Li Hongzhi and his Falun Gong organization are big arrant liars.
